Equipment & Inventory Valuations
Continental Plants Valuation Services provides expert Valuation and Appraisal services
for evaluating commercial and industrial assets, with a focus on Machinery and Equipment
and Inventory, including Finished Goods, Work in Process and Raw Materials.
Our clients include asset-based lenders, commercial finance companies, banks, leveraged
finance, special situation and hedge funds as well as equity investors. By utilizing
our principal personnel and relying upon our collective years of liquidating, winding
down and purchasing distressed commercial and industrial assets, we expeditiously and
accurately determine the realizable asset values of our client’s collateral.
Continental provides its clients with the resources necessary to do their job with
confidence. Whether it’s to underwrite new business or monitor and manage
existing portfolios, we believe that the valuation process extends beyond the four corners
of any appraisal report. Collateral values are rarely stagnant; our aim is to
provide a dynamic analysis which anticipates potential changes in value.
Our Machinery and Equipment Appraisals include an assessment of the marketplace for
major groups of equipment, including the likely scenario which would be employed to
maximize value in the event of liquidation. The work does not end when a final
report is issued. If we observe changes in the market for major equipment types,
we contact clients to inform them of how this may affect their collateral.
Our Inventory Valuation Analyses provide an early warning system through our ViewPoint® analysis
service. We have developed an exclusive and proprietary collateral grading analysis
model, incorporating inventory levels, usage, backlog, historical sales levels, gross
margins and current industry market trends. This model is tailored to the unique
aspects of a particular business and serves as a tool for managing inventory levels
and detecting material changes in value.
Continental offers our clients a consultative
and informed valuation approach throughout each engagement, and beyond. Our principals provide counsel on appropriate
exit strategies, help identify strategies for reducing inventory levels and disposing
non-core or underperforming assets, and work closely with clients to create accurate
and dependable collateral monitoring systems. Accordingly, we provide
our clients with an edge; by discovering creative and supportable means of
providing additional liquidity via unique financing solutions. That is the Continental
difference.
